Bluebanded Goby (Lythrypnus dalli)

Chordata > Pisces > Actinopterygii > Perciformes > Gobiidae

Demersal in rocky areas to depths of 75m. A distinct goby, bright red-orange with 2-6 blue vertical bands. Length to 2.25 inches. The Zebra Goby is similar, with over 10 vertical bands. Gulf of CA to Morro Bay (3) Common (3) Marine.
