Stout Barklouse (cf. Peripsocus milleri)

Arthropoda > Insecta > Psocodea > Psocomorpha > Peripsocidae

Alternatively identified as a Blaste sp. (Psocidae), but to me this strongly resembles the European species Peripsocus milleri which is apparently associated with oak trees. But, does this species even occur in North America (let alone California?). Additionally, the wing venation in the lateral photo is peculiar and doesn't seem to match the venation in the dorsal photo - is this an artifact of angle or otherwise? A better lateral photo clearly showing the wing venation could be important.
