Twirler Moth (Battaristis pasadenae)

Arthropoda > Insecta > Lepidoptera > Gelechioidea > Gelechiidae > Gelechiinae > Anacampsini

Note that individuals pictured here may actually be Battaristis concinusella, but that moth has never been recorded from California. Few photos exist of B. pasadenae to compare to, but the ones available show a much more indistinct forewing pattern. As such the identity of the photos here is very tentative.

Reference of occurrence in Southern California from California Moth Specimen Database. Recorded from the following counties: Los Angeles,San Diego.

Hodges #2228
