Wavy Chione (Chione undatella)

Mollusca > Bivalvia > Veneridae

Ranges from Santa Barbara County southward. See also the Smooth Chione and Banded Chione which occur concurrently. The Banded Chione has heavier and less numerous concentric ridges, while the Smooth Chione lacks a lunule (a heart shaped depressed region near the anterior end - see here).
